What should I study ?

There are a huge range of opportunities for study and work in the land-based industries and many of the courses are offered both full-time and part-time.

You may have a clear idea of what area you would like to begin study in, or you may simply be certain that you want to work outdoors, for example, with animals or manage leisure pursuits. Either way, you can look at the subject areas listed to find out more about what’s involved. In some cases it is possible to begin in a general subject area and specialise later. Within many of the subject areas you will also find some surprises. Did you know that caring for snakes is an option within the animal care industry?

For more exact details of course breakdowns, and the qualifications they lead to, visit the web sites of the individual college you would most like to apply to.
