The Peninsula Gr8 Choice aspiration-raising website Peninsula - Gr8choice

Everything a young person might want to know about Higher Education in one place. An aspiration-raising website with games and guidance, offering an informative and enjoyable basic introduction to Higher Education. Although this site would be useful to any young person interested in, or curious about, studying at university level, it is aimed primarily at school students in the South West Peninsula (Cornwall, Devon, and South Somerset).

Focus Focus on Careers

Focus on Careers provides accessible information on careers, qualifications, local FE and HE courses and apprenticeships, covering 13 key employment sectors, for students aged 14 to 19. It will also help teachers, parents/carers, and careers advisers to support decisions made by learners in Years 9-12. As well as offering information for students and parents, Focus on Careers also has free, downloadable careers lesson plans www.careerlessonplans.org.uk. FoC covers the Wiltshire and Swindon area, Gloucestershire, Somerset, and the West of England and is regularly updated. 


uwe 2010 Aimhigher UniTasters Year 12 Summer School at UWE

The Year 12 residential summer school at the University of the West of England continues successfully into 2009. Each year its website is updated in the spring to focus on information for the participants for this year, providing a variety of pre-event guidance, student mentor profiles, and so on. The site also includes several photo slideshows of previous year's events.

Online Archive recording the activities of Aimhiger Southwest 2000 - 2009 Aimhigher South West Archive

Summaries of AHSW activities 2000 to 2006, speakers presentations from seminars and conferences 2000 to 2008, a wide variety of case studies, the regional tracking study report, progression and activity guides from Area partnerships, and other materials are collected in the archive as a record of Aimhigher activity in the South West.
